The Steel Is in Place
Well the week end is here and steel is in place in the footers with the reinforcing rods for the columns and beams set as well. There is a little more steel that needs to be placed in the footer at the front of the house, but it looks like cement will find its way into the footers in the upcoming week.
This is looking toward the southwest. That's Violet on the left. You can see the batter boards in the foreground that outline the patio.
This is the footer for the slab of concrete that will sit in front of the car port. To the left is where the drive up and front entrance will be.
Serina and Violet pose in front of the drive up and are just about in line with where the front door will be. The front left column steel still needs to be installed.
