More bricks and stones
It's the beginning of the week and a transition is occurring. The crew that has been working on the house for the past four months is finishing up. Rodrigo Miranda who will be installing the tile has his crew on premises this morning. Currently they are adding fill to the inside of the house in preparation for pouring the concrete floors throughout the house.

This is a view of the dirt that has been added to the great room. It will need to be leveled and compacted prior to placing steel.

Nicardo the painter peers out from the half round window in the great room south wall. The arc has been painted in the exterior green and the interior white. Now all we need here is the window.

Felix sets some more courses of brick for the pizza oven.

The entry to the oven takes shape. More on the hole in the back after the next picture.

The opening in the back wall will be closed by a loose brick. There are two of these openings which will provide a way to vary ventilation in the oven.

Edwin rings out a sponge he is using in setting the lajas on the patio floor.

The last touches for the day are applied.

Violet places some of the limestone she has cleaned on the carport floor. These stones will be placed on the face of the fireplace and chimney inside the great room. She has been cleaning these stones with muriatic acid. She prefers the bleached out look as opposed to the more golden appearance of the limestone as it came from the quarry.
