Happy 4th of Jul

It's the 4th of July and we will be celebrating this afternoon.  First we will be attending the Chiriqui Highlands Association pot luck luncheon and then later on we will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. And, of course, there will be fireworks this evening.  For Panamanians, today is just another work day.

Painting continues.  The base coat sealer is making its way around to the front of the house.

Work begins on the retaining wall today.  In the center, stairs will lead from the yard to the higher area which will be behind the wall.

Serina takes a photo op by the corner of the house.  Water lines are being run which will connect to the house and outside faucets.

This is a more detailed shot of the water lines.

Felix shapes the stairs which will join the the two levels of the yard.

The island top is now formed and will be receiving tile pretty soon.  You can see the opening for the bar sink in the right front corner.

This is the counter for the kitchen sink.  The refrigerator will go to the right.  The open spaces on the island and the sink counter will be closed in with wood to form cabinets.

Work continues on the ceiling as seems are smoothed over.  The light complexion of the worker is the result of dust from sanding.

Here is the world famous building inspector, Serina, exiting a tour of the walk in closet.
