The Pizza Oven gets broken in
The day started out with a trip to Santiago which is a town about 200 kilometers or 120 miles from Volcan. The trip was to find elusive mower blades for a Murray lawn tractor, but that is a story for another day. We were home by 6: 30 Pm or so and Thought now is the time to fire up the pizza oven for the first time. So with a little bid of kindling and cardboard a fire grew inside the oven.

It doesn't look like much is going on here, but the fire is beginning to grow inside the oven. Those two things dangling from the roof of the oven are hummingbird feeders.

See? The embers are banked to one side.. Interestingly, the smoke comes out the top of the door and fresh air enters at the bottom just like the plans say will happen.

Here the flames are quite visible. By continuing to add wood to the fire, the temperature can be increased and maintained.

IF you look towards the roof, you can see the smoke curling out.

Violet holds the pizza which is ready to into the oven. Serina wonders why there is no pizza in her bowl.

The pizza is cooking. Now it's rime to see how the oven performs.

The best part of the experiment.
