Pendant lights get installed
It's Friday once again and Edelberto has been up to install more cabinet work in the kitchen. He should be finished with that part tomorrow. He covered the cariolas over the island today with wood. Cecilio came by and installed the pendant lights over the island. So take a look at our Ikea specials. The glass shades which are marbleized blue, white, and brown came from Home Depot. When they are lit, it is difficult to see the colors because of the florescent bulbs we are using.
The wood covering the cariolas needs to be varnished. That is why it looks pale. Chef Violeta prepares something in the background.
This view from the hallway was taken without a flash and you can just make out the hint of blue in the glass shades.
As you can see, Violet puts the island to good use. It provides an excellent and well lit work area.
