Up in the Air

Rod Braden asked me to take some aerial photos of his coffee farm.  So he arranged for Dr, Weldon to take us up in his plane for a bird's eye view of the area.  Windy season makes for some turbulence which is not the best condition for taking photos from an aircraft.  Enough said.  HEre are some of the photos.

This view show the Chiriqui Viejo River shortly after take off from Volcán "International".

Baru dead ahead as Dr Weldon spirals the plane up to altitude.

The Chiriqui Viejo below, Volcan to right of center and the llano centered.  The old lava flow is pretty evident in this photo.

Rod Braden's farm sits on the ridge.  The winding road is the one to Rio Sereno.  The structure to the right is Café Duran.

The town of Caisan.

Punta Buríca is off in the distance.

The town of Rio Sereno is in the center.

One of the lakes is in the left foregfround, Volcan left of center and the llano is is seen creeping out of Baru.

The lakes of Volcan are a little closer in this picture.

Time to come back to earth as Dr Weldon lines up on Volcan's runway.
