I needed to replace some fence posts. So it was time to trek back up to Las Cumbres to see Remaldo Castillo. We met with seņor Remaldo to make arrangements to purchase some posts.

This is the road to Las Cumbres as it appears from the road from Cerro Punta to Guadalupe.

Here we are turning off to go to one Remaldo's fields.

Trucks are being loaded with the posts.

Remaldo and FiFi load the posts. This wood is very heavy and stands up well to the elements.

Tom Noland came along for the ride.

Seņor Remaldo Castillo 74 years of age and still going strong.

Carrots and wild flowers in the highlands above Cerro Punta.

More carrots and a natural patchwork quilt.

A view from above to down below.

Wild flowers.

Fresh broccoli.

Remaldo and FiFi pick some broccoli.

The clouds were just above us and off in the distance the sun was shining.

A look back up the hill and the trail we came down on.

The road ahead.

but not before we got some fresh carrots!

A peek at cultivated hills through wild flowers.

Descending further.

Cerro Punta lies off in the lower right center.

The view from seņor Remaldo's front door.

We say good bye to Remaldo his wife and grandson until the next time we need posts.
