We took a short break for a couple of days and went to the beach Playa Las Lajas which is about 60 to 70 miles east of David and south of the Pan American Highway by about 6 miles. Our friends Larry and Caroline went with us.  It's about a 2 hour drive give or take from the highlands.  While there, we met one of our friends, Marc Blam,  who has been constructing a house at the playa (beach) for the past three years.  It still remains a work in progress.

Pete, one of the owners of the resort, strolls by the pool.

The Pacific looms directly out from the Hotel.
